Politician says stimulus money turned Obama administration corrupt

Brunei News.Net Monday 3rd January, 2011

The incoming Chairman of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee,

Republican Darrell Issa, has referred to US President Barack Obama's government "one of the most corrupt."

Issa, the Republican congressman who is taking over responsibility for overseeing the cutdown of waste across federal bureaucracies, said: "When I look at waste, fraud and abuse in the bureaucracy and in the government, this is like steroids to pump up the muscles of waste."

Speaking on CNN's State of the Union program, he said: “When you hand out US$1 trillion in stimulus funds that this president asked for, plus this huge expansion in healthcare and government, it has a corrupting effect. The sooner the administration figures out that the enemy is the bureaucracy and the wasteful spending, not the other party, the better off we'll be."

But he said, any investigations made would focus on wasteful spending, not the prosecution of White House officials.

Mr Issa said investigations planned over the next two years could result in about US$200 billion in savings for US taxpayers.

how nice of the chairman! seems he is not really capable of doing the job of the peoples' chairman! he misplaces the huge sums that began the giveaways! and he has an eye for 'corruption' that allows and employs protection of republican sponsored criminals walking the streets of the usa rather than being extradited to complete their jail sentences, and/or face the trials they ran away from! most diffinitely he is a 'hogeye chairman' and a sweetheart republican , all pockets open for gifts.
