Brunei logs 34 new COVID-19 cases

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported 34 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the tally to 15,712.

According to the Ministry of Health, the newly recorded cases included 18 local infections and 16 import cases.

As of Monday, 94.6 percent of Brunei's population had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines, while 93.6 percent had completed their vaccination schedule of two doses and 29.2 percent had received the booster shot.

A total of 239 active cases are being treated and monitored in Brunei and 102 patients have died so far in the country.
