JAKARTA, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's first high-speed railway is poised to begin commercial operations. Xinhua's Sun Lei embarks on a journey to gain firsthand experience on the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway.

The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is a flagship project under Belt and Road cooperation between China and Indonesia.

This high-speed railway, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, is the first overseas Chinese high-speed railway project with its entire system, production factors and industrial chain supplied by China.
