TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iran lost to Poland 9-1 at the 2025 Men's FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup on Saturday.
- Sports news -Team Melli began the tournament with a 5-3 victory against Argentina in its opening match on Monday but fell to Germany 8-3 on Tuesday.
The Persians advanced to the quarterfinals as the second-best team after defeating Malaysia 3-0 on Thursday but lost to South Africa 6-0 and failed to advance to the semifinals.
Iran will play Namibia on Sunday in the seventh-place match.
The competition is being held in Pore, Croatia, from February 3 to 9.
