6.2-magnitude quake hits off west coast of Indonesia's Northern Sumatra -- GFZ

HONG KONG, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted off west coast of Northern Sumatra, Indonesia on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 2.68 degrees north latitude and 95.96 degrees east longitude.
